1 Photo...you thought
Here's why I moved to packages only in my photography business.
I just got out of an Ordering appointment where my client said "When I got the package on our first call, I wasn't sure we'd have enough to fill it, I was so wrong!"
To which I replied this is why I've set up my packages as they are because I KNEW that we would!
Here's what I've observed over the last few years of being a photographer. Client signs up to take "a few photos."
We go through an incredible experience together and have a blast at their photoshoot.
And then we sit at the Reveal and Ordering appointment and narrowing down their photos to fit a budget made on a different assumption feels like pulling teeth or choosing between your children. It's really hard.
You didn't think you'd love so many of them (because we tend to become modest when a camera is involved) and what should be a fun time loving on how great you look turns into holy crap, I want more but I wasn't ready to do this financially right now.
It's also equally hard for me, I took them so they could be enjoyed by you!
So I've stopped offering a la carte and tiny packages. It's usually a bummer and in the end no one really wants it but many have had to settle for it. (Settle eww)
Packages only allows me to serve in the way I love the best, I get to be fully transparent about my pricing and what you'll receive (bomb photos and VIP treatment) and my clients have less stress at the Ordering appointment.
I would rather you decide not to book with me right now than to sign up and feel like you're leaving images you love behind because you can't afford it. It. Sucks.
Now my packages feel so much lighter and funner to deliver on because you know that your starting off with a base set of images that you're going to enjoy. And you can always choose more but it feels optional because you're already leaving with a beautiful set you'll love.
It's gonna happen, you wouldn't be booking with me if you didn't believe it to be true.
